Coming from owning two performance Alienware computers this was a major change aesthetics wise. My Alienware Laptop of 4 years worked wonders, and still to this day performs fairly well. But the Lenovo is really a solidly built computer with many features, functions and performance attributes.

-Pros:
When first using the computer the first thing I noticed was built quality, even though it looks like slim version of some of the first Laptops on the market its worth it. The computer has some kind of really hard material(Steal?)protecting the outer shell of the computer witch is great because laptop screens quite often crack when smashed, or drooped. The hinges are made of steal so the screens not going any place.

When opening the computer the first thing I noticed was all touchpad/mousepad/nipple features, no matter what your used too this probably has it.
Things like volume control, mice on off and the ThinkPad tools are located totally away from commonly used keys, and are not FN keys witch really is a nice touch.
Finger Print scanner is a really really secure feature ( I personally do not use it but I have tested it and it dose work ).

The Keyboard in itself is built SOLID! the keys are nice and firm, but not stiff to the touch.

The Speakers/sub are flawless no crackling just Crystal clear sound.

Webcam is state of the art looks great in Skype,MSN,Yahoo.

Hardware wise this thing is built with care, No heating up at all, 4GB of DDR3 memory is more then enough to run 90% of applications.
Very happy with the i5 M540, while many companies are putting the M520 in there units this has that one step up.
Dedicated graphics is one of the best things you can have when running Windows 7 it really makes things run and look much smoother. So to have Nvidia\'s NVS 3100M is a major thumbs up, its not really a gaming card for anyone expecting to play games on this laptop. It can run the games just don\'t expected anything glamorous.
While using the 500GB 7200RPM Seagate it ran just fine, with fairly high read write speeds, so by all means its more then enough for someone day to day tasks and a then some. I did later upgrade to a 60GB OCZ Vertex 2 SSD.
Witch brings me to the point of battery life. With the Seagate, I got about 3-4 hours on a full charge with a 9 cell battery witch is pretty good for a 15\". With the SSD Its more like 4-5 hours.
